What parks & estate maintenance involves
Grounds at scale are a different job to a garden with more hours put into it. The ground behaves differently, the machinery is different, and the timing is set by the season and by the law rather than by a rota.
Estate and parks work is usually best run to a programme agreed in advance, setting out what happens, when, and what it costs. Where it suits the site, visit frequency can follow the growing season rather than the invoice, and arisings can go with us. What is included is agreed with you site by site rather than fixed in advance.
What it covers
- Scheduled grounds and garden maintenance
- Grass cutting, edging and presentation
- Hedge cutting in season
- Borders, shrubs and planting upkeep
- Seasonal leaf clearance
- Seasonal planting and replanting
Bird nesting season runs from March to August. Hedges and dense vegetation are checked before cutting, because it is an offence under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 to damage or destroy an active nest.
